Non-Surgical Radio Surgery Treatment To Remove Facial Moles

Sam Archer2021-11-06

It’s important to regularly check your skin and be aware of moles, both old and new. It’s essential to have any moles inspected thoroughly by a specialist doctor, especially if you have a history of sunburn as a child, or have used a tanning bed.

Moles are marks that can appear anywhere on your skin in various colours and sizes. They can look attractive on some people if they’re placed strategically on the face, but for others, they are a nightmare and a big cause of self-consciousness.

Moles are usually dark in colour and have a texture, making them difficult to disguise with a cosmetic foundation or concealing make-up. Moles can result from sunburn or any skin imperfection and they can appear black, brown or any other colour. Exposure to the sun is the main cause of moles but inherited genes from our parents can also be a cause.

Some moles can fade away and sometimes they change because of hormonal changes:

  • In teenage years – moles might increase in number
  • Pregnancy – moles might get slightly darker
  • Ageing – they might start to disappear from age forty and onwards

The average adult might have between ten to forty moles on their face and body at any one time. Most of these are harmless and should cause no concern at all, but you should look out for any changes in them and regularly check your skin. Moles are irregular, they can change colour which can lead to bigger issues, and there is definitely a need to keep an eye on your moles if you find they are growing in size, as the growth of a mole can point to a possible sign of skin cancer.

Benefits of radio surgery treatment:

  • There are no permanent side effects.
  • Treatment takes less than an hour.
  • It won’t leave scars on the skin.
  • It is a non-invasive and non-surgical procedure.

Radio surgery is a method of mole removal which produces radio waves that will instantly vaporise the moles, and this results in much less scarring. It’s impossible for the skin underneath the mole to exactly match the skin around it, as the newly exposed skin hasn’t had the same exposure as the rest of your skin. After a mole removal the skin underneath is like a small graze on the skin, and after four to six weeks there’ll usually be a pink blemish or lighter area of skin which is normally not too noticeable. Over time This area of skin will become less noticeable over time and the results will improve over the following three to four months,
